Insanity Workout is a 60-day total-body conditioning program available on a set of DVDs. Insanity Workout was put together by a personal fitness training “guru” named Shaun T., who designed his program to push men and women of all ages past their usual personal limitations and achieve the best body and highest level of fitness they ever had by going through what might be the most intense, most difficult workout program ever put on a set of DVDs. Some women that get insanity also get the Brazil Butt Lift.
Insanity Workout contains 10 workout discs filled up with plyometric drills as well as nonstop intervals of resistance, strength, core, and power training moves. No training machines or equipment and not even any weights are ever used for any of the workouts. Everything is body-weight resistance and intense cardio moves. Most of the time, the entire workout routine can be done in less than an hour, sometimes in less than 30 minutes.
What Shaun T. has done is take the traditional intervallic workout method and flip it upside down. Intervallic workouts are done by doing short bursts of all-out effort followed by relatively long periods of rest. With the Insanity Workout, you’ll do long periods of high-intensity workouts, alternating between aerobic and anaerobic exercises, followed by just short periods of rest.
Shaun T. says that his Insanity Workout program will get you burning up to 1000 calories an hour and that within 60 days you’ll have the best body of your life. If you need to melt away unwanted pounds, you will do so. If you are already relatively fit but want to get ripped, you will do so. Each one of the 10 discs contains one “insane” workout ranging in length anywhere from 20 to 80 minutes, so that each workout is different and unique to keep your mind engaged and your body challenged, giving you MAXimum results.
Losing weight can be hard if you do not know where to begin. People spend countless hours per week on their treadmills, bicycles, and at the gym and still never get anywhere because they don’t know what works and what doesn’t. The insanity workout is designed for people who want to get the fat off their body and tone up within 60 days. It is a high-intensity workout that should only be followed if you are genuinely serious about undergoing a complete lifestyle change.
No Personal Trainer or Gym Membership Required
The Insanity Workout takes less than one hour per day to complete and can be performed in the comfort of your own home. Gym memberships tend to cost hundreds of dollars per year, and do not include a personal trainer. If you want extra services, you have to pay for them yourself. The bad thing is that not everyone can afford to spend hundreds of dollars on a personal trainer each month. Fortunately, you don’t have to be a celebrity to possess a rock-solid body. The only thing that you have to do is follow the program and do everything it says. Remember, it’s only for one hour per day.
More About the Insanity Workout
So, what exactly is the Insanity Workout? The fact is that not all workouts are designed to burn a high level of fat while toning muscle at the same time. You’re either burning calories or building muscle – that’s it. With this workout, you are doing both at maximum intensity. The good news is that you get breaks – lots of small one’s that actually contribute to your overall fat burn. The overall intensity of the insanity workout increases your heart rate of up to 80 percent, which is much less than what other workouts can accomplish.
What’s Included To Make All This Possible?
In order for a workout to be effective, you must switch it up every now and then. The workouts included in this package are designed to work every body part while constantly changing up the intensity. Fortunately, you don’t have to spend any money on weights, mats, or other common workout equipment. The only thing required is raw ambition, motivation, and the willingness to see an improvement in your figure.
The Insanity Workout package itself comes with 10 workout videos including:
1. “Digg Deeper and Fit Test” – This video helps to determine what level of fitness you fall under.
2. “Plyometric Cardio Circuit” – A video composed of cardiovascular workouts designed to work your lower body.
3. “Cardio and Power Resistance” – Simple, yet intense, strength training and cardio moves to help you build lean muscle in your upper body and burn fat.
4. “Cardio Recovery and Max Recovery”- This video’s purpose is to go easy on you and is only used once per week for recovery purposes to increase the effectiveness of the program.
5. “Pure Cardio and Abs” – An extremely intense cardio workout to burn more fat and tone up the abs.
6. “Cardio Abs” – A very short video composed of high-intensity interval workouts.
7. “Core Cardio and Balance” – Designed to help you transition from month one to month two.
8. “Max Interval Circuit” – The most intense cardiovascular workout in the insanity workout package.
9. “Max Interval Plyo” – Another high-intensity workout that focuses nothing on your lower body.
10. “Max Cardio Conditioning and Abs” – The last high-powered workout in the insanity workout series.
Also included are four free insanity workout guides to help you stay on track.
What To Expect
Most everyone starts off with a great burst of enthusiasm when beginning an exercise program. Fortunately, the entire Insanity Workout is nothing but a great big burst of enthusiasm. Since you’re provided with your own personal trainer, you won’t have to worry about keeping motivated. Within just 60 days, you can expect to meet all of your weight loss goals, and if you don’t (assuming that you have much more weight to lose than the average 10-30 pounds), you can simply keep going for an additional 60 days. Paying attention to your diet will be crucial to keep the fat off your body. You should focus on eating a diet high in fiber and full of protein in order to stay full and energized. Also, do not forget to add fresh fruits and vegetables for nutritional purposes. Giving your diet and weight loss program a good faith effort will guarantee you with the results that you want to accomplish.

I’m not gonna pull any punches here with you guys. When I first got insanity workout I hated Shaun T. He seemed to be harder on me than my Navy Boot Camp Drill Instructors. I wanted to quit after the first week of training. But I stuck to the workout and the diet plan and consumed tons of cold water, sometimes up to a gallon and 1/2 per day. At the same time I was doing this I quit smoking and was also going through detox so I was fighting a double battle.
I ended up putting all my addictions in the back of my mind and kept going forward. After week 4 I really started dropping massive weight and getting a lot stronger at the same time. My cardio was better than it was in at least 15 years and my bench press strength moved up about 45 pounds. I’m only in my 5th week of this regimen so far but I can tell you that it works but only if you are committed.
One other thing you can look forward to when you finish the insanity workout routine is that you will be able to enjoy the gains and personal progress you make through the program for years after you finish. If you decide to do this either do it all the way or wait until you are mentally prepared to go for it. I will also finish by saying that any average person can finish the program, just have fun with it and get into it and it will work for you.

I was about 32 pounds overweight before I ordered the Insanity Workout DVD’s back in January. However because of work and family obligations I wasn’t ready to start training until around April this year. I finished the program in Late June. I was able to get rid of most of my excess weight and get some strength gains in my chest and legs at the same time.
I’m more of a career oriented person and tended to focus my energies towards my career while at the same time neglecting my personal health. I’m not saying I’m proud of this but I needed the kick in the butt Shawn T gave me as well as the strict regimentation this system provided for me.
Although I was never officially reprimanded for my work performance, before I started the Insanity Workout Program I was sluggish at work. But after the program I noticed more spring in my step, and my co-workers noticed this also. So I found this system not only improved my personal health, but also is helping me professionally as well.
If you are just lazy and overweight like I was, this system will be a great way to check yourself.
Peppy are you a sexist or what dude!! No I’m just kidding u look 2 cute to be a sexist. But anyway women can do this workout 2 you know.

You can either Get Real With Shaun T or stay fat and move slow all your life. Some might think his training is hell on earth, but you just need to do what you have to and make it fun. Maybe try listening to some cool jams while you’re going through the workouts.

I tried working out with a couple local meatheads at the gym by my house. They are pretty hardcore so I realized after a few weeks I just couldn’t keep up anymore. It was my endurance that was gettin the best of me about 75% through the workout I was out of steam. So I got the Shaun T. Insanity workout. I had to call it quits with them for the time being, as I’m on week 3 right now. When I finish the program I’m certain I’ll be able to keep up with those guys.
If I didn’t have any endurance issues I would have gotten P90X instead, but insanity workout is perfect for me it will help me get my 2nd wind way easier.

I took a look at the commercial Insanity Workout Video on the main Beachbody site. I wish I knew a little bit more about what exactly is inside those DVD’s?? Even a larger screenshot of the Insanity Workout Calendar would be nice! With all the good things I keep hearing about this program, it looks like I’ll be buying it soon anyway. I guess it’s almost like asking for your Drill Instructors profile before you get to boot camp, lol. Friends of mine have told me that Beachbody always puts out great products and I can tell by searching on the net that they are highly publicized. So tx for the real scoop Peppy I’ll be ordering them today. I’ve searched for a lot of different fitness regimens on the net, and Shaun T is becoming a name I can trust from all the research I’ve done.
I’ve been juggling back and forth between Insanity and p90x. Frankly I think I’m gonna go with p90x because my job keeps me on my toes all day and I feel like I already have enough endurance. I can see how the Insanity Workout would benefit desk jockeys and pen pushers but I work in construction and do framing all day. My problem is that I need to bulk out so I think it’s p90x for me. After looking at the Insanity Videos Online if I felt I need it I’d signup in a heart beat. I like the idea of the challenge behind the Insanity Workout and love pushing myself to my limits. I mean you only live once and when it comes to fitness you should pursue it passionately. Just my 10 cents.
