Make Up Alley

Make Up Alley is an authority website that has over 1.1 million reviews of over 110,000 products as of the time of this writing. Also as of this time they are getting over 1.3 unique visitors per month according to Compete.com. If you click their Product Reviews tab you’ll see their latest featured reviews such as NARS Bush Deep Throat, Revlon SL Cherries in the Glow Lip Gloss and Clairol Natural Instincts. In order to view more recent reviews Make Up Alley prefers that you register as a free member. Make Up Alley also reviews products like the Urban Decay Big Fatty Lip Plumper. However they aren’t a fitness site so you won’t see products like Tony Horton 10 Minute Trainer Reviews.

Make Up Alley also has their own Message Board Area for registered members. This Public Message Board is categorized by specific subjects. You can make as many posts as you want here, but they require that you remain on topic. They don’t allow certain activities like many other boards such as blatant advertising, bashing, profane language, sexual comments or posts that aren’t on topic. If you get caught doing any of these things you could be removed without any warning.

Once you register and become a free Make Up Alley member, you will receive a Username and Password. This will give you unrestricted access to your My MUA area where you can manage your account. It will also give you access to read more of their reviews. They have just about every type of Cosmetic Product available on their website including Lip Plumper That Works. They also have a Swap area. I believe this area allows registered members to Swap different types of cosmetics.

Make Up Alley also has a Mail and Diary area which is also restricted to just free registered members. Next they have a links section which lists links in the MUA Directory. This area seems to allow Brick and Mortar and Internet Retail Business owners who are in the Cosmetics Business to submit some basic information about their Business which includes their Business Name, URL, Address and a brief description of their business. Finally they have a favorites section which is restricted to members only.

Publicly visible from the Make Up Alley home page are the MUA Daily Top Picks and the Newest Product Reviews. MUA has recently added mobile capability into their website. Finally at the bottom right Make Up Alley has a list of Hot Board Topics. You don’t have to be registered to read these topics but you need to get registered to reply to them.
